D’Beak has recorded two straight wins after taking out the Queanbeyan Cup prelude over the 2000m.

Measuring-up from his Canberra win a fortnight prior, he was put into the gun spot from Simon Miller stalking the leader.

As the field of tired stayers bunched around the corner, he peeled off to give chase and was simply too good over the concluding stages for a game Uncle Gerry ($3.60F) with a big space on Welcome Art ( $9) in third.

The win really showed how far the once non-winning racing career of Mega (Stable name) has come. Improving all the time, The Son of Medaglia D’Oro has chalked up four wins and nine placings from 22 starts.

The Queanbeyan Cup will be held on the 29th October (Sunday ).
