Bank on Henry makes Country Championships final.

Feb 25, 2016

Bank on Henry has produced another marvellous effort to make the Country Championships final.

The field was full of quality horses restricted to this regional heat with people suggesting this Goulburn heat one of the strongest qualifing races, along with Scone.

After drawing the widest barrier of 16, Henry was posted six and eight wide the trip with connections tensing on jockey Matthew Cahill's every move.

Cahill made a sweeping run at the 500m mark to put Henry in the race and he was able to stick it out well, despite the wide trip, to be beaten 2L by Loftys Menu ($6.50). Bank on Henry (rated an $11 chance) finished a head in front of Ashjata ($18).

The $400,000 Country championships final is held on the 2nd April (Day One of the The Championships) at Royal Randwick with Bank on Henry currently a $13 chance to win.
