Almost Court impresses again

Aug 15, 2017

Promising Stayer Almost Court has hit Australia in a big way, remaining unbeaten as he recorded back to back wins at Canberra on Friday.

An impressive winner at the Sapphire Coast at his Australian debut, The former Kiwi Almost Court attracted strong support since market opening and clearly didn't let anybody down jumping at $1.50

Rising five Benchmark points since his Bega win, the Gelded son of Alamosa was gifted with just 54kg after the claim for Stable apprentice Patrick Scorse.

"Almo" bounced straight on the speed from the good alley and dictated on his terms, going at steady fractions on the Synthetic surface. Displaying a sharp turn of foot on straightening, he pinched a margin under hands and heels and maintained his advantage to the wire winning by 2.5L on Force Of Magic ($4.60) with Campfire ($10) a length away in third.
