Le Sacre Blur has fended off all challengers in winning the Benchmark 56 Handicap over 1650m at Moruya.

Adopting a forward position in running, the five year old bounced back to form and made it two wins from his past three.

With Senior rider Bobby El-Issa aboard, he elected to press on despite the tardy getaway and set the pace. They went at an even clip throughout and when push came to shove nearing the bend he was under heavy riding. He lacked any sort of sprint once pressured but to his credit refused to give in windmall whip and all.  Viva Lavino ($2.70F) lobbed on the line but to no avail with Grasp ($4.60) over a length back in third.
